A court ruling in San Francisco could change the lives of farmers in Mexico. The ruling gives the go-ahead for a water conservation effort that aims to fix a leaky canal in Southern California. The seepage from the canal is a key source of water for farmers in the Mexicali Valley — just south of the US border. The World’s Jori Lewis travelled to the Mexicali Valley and found a community concerned about its future.
